Wilbur's One Night Stay

We always know it’s going to be a fantastic day at Hounds Hotels when Wilbur comes to visit. He bounded through our doors this morning with his tail going a mile a minute, clearly just as thrilled to see us as we were to see him. There is nothing quite like that pure, unfiltered canine enthusiasm to kick off a one night stay

It didn't take long for our lively guest to make himself entirely at home—and get up to a little bit of cheeky mischief along the way. Wilbur has a brilliant sense of humor and quickly decided that our socks and gardening gloves were his newly discovered treasures. We spent the better part of the morning playing a gentle, hilarious game of swap-and-redirect as he proudly paraded our various items around the room. When he wasn't busy redesigning our glove collection, he was happily claiming the sofa as his personal jungle gym, climbing up to find the absolute best vantage point. It was all in wonderfully good fun, and his infectious, playful energy kept our entire team laughing through the morning.

After burning off that initial burst of excitement, we leashed him up for a lovely afternoon stroll. We headed down to the local park, keeping him safely on his lead while letting him dictate the pace from one fascinating scent to the next. He took his time investigating every patch of grass, feeling the breeze, and watching the world go by, fully immersed in the sights and sounds of his outdoor adventure.

Naturally, all that exploring and glove-thieving takes a toll on a pup. By the time we walked back through the doors, Wilbur was wonderfully worn out and ready to recharge. He settled right down for a long, well-deserved afternoon snooze. As you can clearly see in the picture above, he looked completely angelic, dreaming away after a perfectly busy day. We absolutely cannot wait to welcome this lovable troublemaker back for his next stay!
