Mad Boris Returns: Day 1 of 3 at Hound’s Hotel! 🐾☀️

The paws have landed, the tail is wagging, and the energy in the building just shot through the roof! We are absolutely thrilled to kick off a three-night stay with one of our all-time favorite guests—our beloved Bedlington Terrier, Boris!

Bright, Early, & Full of "Mad Boris" Energy

Boris arrived bright and early this morning, practically vibrating with excitement! There’s a reason we affectionately call him "Mad Boris" around here. The second he stepped through the doors, he was off—dashing around Hound’s Hotel like a little blue bullet, making sure every corner was properly inspected!

Once he finally burned off that initial burst of pure joy, he settled right down for his favorite part of arrival: showering us with endless hugs and cuddles.

A Home Away From Home 🧸

To help Boris feel comfortable right away, we immediately brought out his toys. Showing him his familiar playthings is our secret weapon to let him know he’s in a safe, loving environment—a true home away from home where he can relax, play, and just be himself.

Garden Patrol & Summer Heat Plans 🌿

Boris spent the afternoon exploring the garden, trotting straight over to all his favorite sniffs and spots.

With this scorching weather, we’ve been keeping outdoor play brief to make sure our furry friends don't overheat. But don't worry—as soon as the temperature drops this evening, we’re heading out for a lovely cool-down walk in the park! We can’t wait to get out with him once the sun goes down.

Mad Boris Returns: Day 2 of 3 at Hound’s Hotel! 🐾🎾

The adventures of our favorite Bedlington Terrier continue! Day 2 with "Mad Boris" has been packed with high-speed hallway games, garden adventures, and some well-deserved relaxation in his absolute favorite spot.

Early Morning Alarm & Hallway Grand Prix 🏎️

Boris didn’t waste a single second of his second day! He woke up bright and early, giving us an energetic wake-up call to demand his morning garden check before breakfast even crossed his mind.

Once fed and fueled up, it was game time. We brought out his toys and kicked off his favorite morning activity: "Where’s the Ball?" The rules are simple:

Step 1: Toss the ball right down the  hallway.

Step 2: Watch Boris scuttle at absolute top speed to retrieve it!

Watching a Bedlington Terrier in full zoomie mode down the corridor is pure entertainment. He was in his absolute element, scampering back and forth with pure joy!

Garden Time & Mastering Recall 🌿

By afternoon, it was time for some garden exploration. Boris headed straight to his usual favorite sniffing spots to keep tabs on his domain.

The best news of the day? His recall is getting so much better! When it was time to step out of the sun, a quick call had him trotting right back inside to us without hesitation. Good boy, Boris!

Beat the Heat: Pavement Safety ☀️🦮

With the summer sun keeping the ground warm, we made sure to test the pavements carefully before heading out. To protect his sensitive paws from hot asphalt, we kept his outing to a nice, short stroll around the block during the cooler part of the day—just enough to get some fresh scents without any risk of sore pads!

A Well-Earned Rest 🛋️

After a non-stop day of playing, sprinting, and exploring, "Mad Boris" finally ran out of steam. He happily curled himself up right in his favorite chair for some serious evening snooze time!

Mad Boris Returns: Day 3 of 3 at Hound’s Hotel! 🐾 fly-swatting & Farewells

All good things must come to an end, and today marks the final chapter of our beloved Bedlington Terrier’s 3-night staycation! It has been an absolute blast having "Mad Boris" bring so much energy, love, and laughter to Hound’s Hotel over the last few days.

Early Birds & Master Recall 🌅

We were all up bright and early this morning! Boris wasted no time letting us know it was prime garden time, patiently (and politely!) insisting on an early-morning outing.

The highlight of his garden trips today? His recall is officially top-notch! Every single time he goes outside, he gets better and better at trotting right back to us when called. It’s amazing to see his progress, and we couldn't be prouder of what a clever boy he is.

The Great Afternoon Fly Hunt 🪰💨

By the afternoon, Boris found himself a brand-new hobby: fly catching! He spent hours on high alert, pouncing, snapping, and darting around the garden with that classic, hilarious Bedlington agility. He came remarkably close a few times, but alas—zero kills so far! The local fly population can breathe a sigh of relief for now, though Boris certainly gets an A+ for effort and entertainment.

A Cozy Final Evening 🛋️❤️

Since this is our very last night with Boris for this stay, we’re keeping things nice and low-key. We're spending the evening having a wonderfully chilled-out session, soaking up all the snuggles, kisses, and quality time with our favorite little chap before he heads home tomorrow.
