Bear's One night stay
# Guest Spotlight: Paws, Play, and Total Relaxation with Bear the Bernedoodle! 🐾
Here at Hounds Hotels, we absolutely love welcoming new furry faces into our family. Today, we want to introduce you to a very special guest who stole all our hearts this week: **Bear**, a gorgeous 5-month-old Bernese Mountain Dog-Poodle cross!
As any puppy parent knows, heading to a new environment can be a little overwhelming for a young pup. When Bear first walked through our doors, his big puppy eyes told us he was feeling a bit nervous about his grand hotel adventure.
But with a little patience, love, and some clever puppy psychology, Bear’s stay turned into the ultimate vacation. Here is how we helped Bear find his groove!
## Step 1: The Ultimate "Home Away from Home" Setup
Every successful stay starts with a great team effort. Bear’s wonderful owner stayed with him at first to help him settle down and realize he was in a safe, fun place.
To bridge the gap between home and the hotel, we immediately brought out **Bear’s favorite toys** from home. Surrounding a puppy with familiar scents and textures is the quickest way to beat those initial jitters. Within minutes, the nervous tail-tucks started turning into curious sniffs!
## Step 2: Breaking the Ice with Fun and Games
Once Bear realized he was surrounded by friends (and his favorite toys), it was time to put that sharp Poodle brain to work. Our team introduced him to a couple of interactive games to build up his confidence:
* **The Kong Ball Challenge:** Bear absolutely loved exploring this! It kept his mind focused and gave him a rewarding challenge.
* **The "Which Hand?" Game:** This was the ultimate icebreaker. Bear proved to be an absolute genius at sniffing out the hidden treats, tapping our hands with his nose to claim his prizes.
Games like these are fantastic for young dogs because they provide mental stimulation without putting too much stress on their rapidly growing, 5-month-old joints.
**The Verdict?** Total relaxation achieved.
## Living the Lounge Life 🛋️
After burning off his nervous energy with some brain games, Bear officially declared himself on vacation mode.
If you see him right now, you’ll find him **totally relaxed and chilling out like a king in his portable sofa bed**. He went from a timid pup to the coolest guest in the house, completely content and soaking up Houndshotels hospitality.
We are so proud of how bravely Bear settled in, and we can already tell he’s going to be a regular superstar here at Hounds Hotels. Thank you to Bear’s owners for trusting us with their sweet boy!
