A Pawsome Start: Boris Takes Over Hounds Hotels! 🐾
The weekend has officially begun, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to welcome our latest VIP (Very Important Pooch), Boris! From the moment he trotted through the doors, it’s been nothing but wagging tails and high energy.
Early Bird Catches the... Scent?
Boris arrived bright and early this morning, looking refreshed and absolutely delighted to be back at his "home away from home." After a quick greeting, he headed straight for the star of the show: our overgrown back garden.
While we love the lush greenery, Boris loves it for a different reason—the smells! He spent a good portion of the morning with his nose glued to the ground. Based on the intensity of his tail wagging, we are almost certain he picked up the scent of a local mole or perhaps a neighborhood cat that dared to trek through his weekend kingdom.
Out and About
Before the rain came down, we decided to head out for a stroll to the local shops. Boris is quite the socialite and handled the sights and sounds like a pro.

Cuddles, Kisses, and Day 1 Vibes
If there is one thing Boris excels at, it’s showing appreciation. Day 1 was filled with an endless supply of kisses and cuddles. Whether we were relaxing after our walk or just hanging out in the lounge, Boris made sure we knew he was having the best time. It’s hard to say who’s enjoying the stay more—him or us!
Looking Ahead: Saturday Funday 🦆
We’ve got a big day planned for tomorrow! We’re heading down to the river to see what Boris thinks of the local wildlife. Will he be mesmerized by the ducks, or will he prefer to keep his paws dry on the bank?

The Grand River Expedition: Boris’s Saturday Adventure 🌊
Day 2 of Boris’s stay at Hounds Hotels was all about exploration! After a hearty breakfast and a few morning stretches, we set off for the river. Boris might not have known our final destination, but you wouldn’t have guessed it by the way he took charge!
Leading the Way
From the moment we stepped out the door, Boris took the lead. With his ears perked and his tail held high, he marched forward with total confidence—even if he was technically following our lead, he certainly made it feel like he was the one guiding the expedition!
We decided to take the scenic country route, which turned out to be a sensory paradise for our favorite guest:
Babbling Streams: We passed several small streams where Boris paused to investigate the cool water.
Open Fields: We trekked through lush green fields, giving Boris plenty of space to take in those fresh country scents.
Meeting Friends: We crossed paths with a few other local dogs along the way. We were so proud of Boris; he was perfectly behaved on his lead, showing off his impeccable manners to every passerby.
Riverside Wonders & Feathered Friends
When we finally reached the river, Boris was absolutely captivated. It wasn't just the water that caught his eye—it was the birds! He sat mesmerized, watching the ducks and swans glide by. He didn't try to jump in or cause a fuss; he simply watched them with a look of pure fascination. It seems Boris might be a bit of a bird-watcher at heart!

The Journey Home
After his riverside fix, we made our way back to Hounds Hotels via a stroll through the town center. It was a great way to wind down after our rural trek, and Boris enjoyed the change of pace (and all the extra attention from Saturday shoppers!).
Now, he’s back at the hotel, tucked up and likely dreaming of ducks and country trails. It’s been a truly wonderful weekend with this boy, and tommorow re all going to relax and chill.
